All about Yves

I know nostalgia is a silly and self indulgent feeling when it comes to fashion. Fashion is meant to progress. Daily. And reinventions are what keep houses fresh & relevant. But after seeing what Hedi Slimane is doing with Saint Laurent (he dropped the Yves) I can’t help but miss the old days. The Yves Saint Laurent that made beautiful clothes and sensual women. The Yves Saint Laurent that endorsed androgyny, pantsuits and sexy, liberated, confident WOMEN. There’s something about the new collections that remind me of all that’s wrong with the world today. So for today, I am having a momentary lapse of reason and pining for the past. Forgive me.
